Printing from a Personal Device

This article will walk you through printing to a TCTC printer using your personal device.

Body

To print to a TCTC printer or copier using your personal device, you must first be on the TCTC Guest wireless network.

Printing to a TCTC printer or copier has two main steps.  First, you must send the print job to the printer. Second, you have to retrieve the print job.

Sending the print job to the printer or copier:

  1. When you are ready to print, you need to save your file locally to your device.  For example if you have Word document to print save the document.  Remember the location that you saved it to and the file name you gave it.
  2. Using your browser, navigate to https://print.tctc.edu
  3. Sign in using your TCTC email account

    2. Monochrome is the same as black and white
    3. Printer is a standard printer (not a copier)
  8. At to bottom of this screen is a button. "Pring Options and Account Selection"

Retrieve the print job at the printer or copier:

To retrieve the print job, walk up to the printer or copier.  You will have two options to authenticate on the printer. You can scan your ID badge or you can enter your TCTC email address and password.  

The badge scanner will look like this on top of the printer:

Once you have authenticated on the printer you will see an option to select the print job and choose print.

Mobile App:

If you need to print from a mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet you can use the Papercut App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

This app allows touchless interaction with the printer buy scanning the QR code on the printer or copier and choosing which job to release.
