This guide will walk you through the process of installing VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use on a MacOS device.
- Create a Broadcom Account
- Visit the Broadcom Registration Page (https://profile.broadcom.com/web/registration).
- Complete the Registration Form by filling in the required details to create your account.
- Check your email for a verification code from Broadcom and enter the code on the verification page to confirm your email.
- Download VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use
- Navigate to the VMware Fusion downloads page (https://support.broadcom.com/group/ecx/productdownloads?subfamily=VMware+Fusion).
- Click on the latest version of “VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use”.
- Check the box next to “I agree to Terms and Conditions”.
- From the drop down menu, select “VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use (For Intel-based and Apple silicon Macs)” and click the download button.
- The installer for VMware Fusion Pro will begin downloading.
- Install VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use
- Locate the downloaded installer and open it.
- Double-click the “VMware Fusion.app” file in Finder.
- A pop up will appear informing you that the app was downloaded from the Internet. Click the “Open” button to continue.
- You will be prompted to give the installer administrator privileges. Follow the on-screen instructions to grant the installer the required privileges.
- Read and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
- Choose “I want to license VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use” and click continue.
- Click “Done” once the installation is finished.
- Configure VMware Fusion Pro for Personal Use
- Enable Accessibility Features for VMware Fusion Pro
- Go to your device’s System Settings.
- Navigate to the Privacy and Security section and grant VMware Fusion access to accessibility features.
- Launch VMware Fusion if it is not already running.
- Click the “Get Windows from Microsoft” button.
- Click the continue button on the Download and Install Windows 11.
- Leave the settings as default and click “Download Windows”. The download may take some time.
- Once the download is complete, click continue.
- Leave the settings as default and click continue.
- Set a password or use the Auto Generate Password option, then click continue.
- Leave the settings as default and click continue.
- Finally, click the “Finish” button.
- Install Windows 11 ARM in VMware Fusion Pro
- Start the virtual machine.
- While the virtual machine is starting press any key to boot into the Windows installer.
- If you missed the "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD" prompt simply restart the virtual machine.
